Summary: Trevor Noah describes his childhood in detail, explaining it in the context of Apartheid. He describes the systems set up in South Africa in order to systematically oppress people, such as a pseudo caste system and the separate living areas for different people based on race. He discusses the laws put into place to further racism, and points out that he was "Born a Crime" because there were laws against mixed-race couples. He illumiates the ways that policy kept the native tribes fighting amongst themselves instead of working together to overthrow the system.
Note the examples given for systemic racism in Apartheid South Africa and compare them to current and past US Policies.
