Summary: An exploration of the recent explosion of white allies voicing their support for Black Lives Matter and comparisons to the period after the civil rights movement in which everyone claimed to have been a civil rights activist. While an unprecedented amount of white folks took to the streets during the summer of 2020, the author shares that "according to a June poll, 45% of white people surveyed found racism to be a 'big problem.' In the latest poll [as of Sept. 2020], that number had already fallen to 38%."
